Our Scope
We get up to much more than racking inspections. Since 1999, Safety Survey, together with our sister company, Birchmoor Associates, have raised over £55,000 for our selected charities, The British Heart Foundation and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Our fundraising usually takes the form of organising or participating in some form of outdoor event and since 1999 we have been mostly: -
Taking part in the 42km "Waendle Walk" (11 times)
Climbing Ben Nevis (twice)
Competing in Mountain Triathlons (twice)
Taking part in the 87km London/Brighton Cycle ride (7 times)
Manchester/Liverpool "Soap Cycle"
Trekking the 150km "West Highland Way" in Scotland (twice)
Trekking the "Tiger Leaping Gorge" in China
In 1999 & 2002, Birchmoor Associates were the top fundraiser in the GDBA Charity Challenge.
In 2012 Lionel Drage travelled to Peru to trek the famous "Inca Trail" to Machu Picchu. This trek, in the Andes Mountains climbs to a similar height to Everest Base Camp before dropping into the "Lost City" of Machu Picchu.
It is planned that we will add a third charity to our list for this event, the beneficiary for this event will be "Breast Cancer Care"
